Smiles have been put on the faces of women drawn from across Imo State as Imo State Government led by Governor Hope Uzodimma in conjunction with National Directorate of Employment (NDE), on Tuesday 27th, October, 2020, flagged-off the Imo State Government skills acquisition empowerment programme for Imo women on Spices Production at Ahiajoku Convention Centre, Owerri, Imo State.
The ongoing Imo women empowerment programme is carried out by the Imo State Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition. A total number of 305 women from the 305 wards and 27 Local Government Areas in the State are participating.
Addressing the participants on-behalf of the State Government, the Honourable Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition, Noble A. Atulegwu, congratulated the beneficiaries of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s women skills acquisition empowerment programme and described the programme as a needed one to carry Imo women more along in the scheme of things and assist them become self-reliant economically.
Hon. Noble A. Atulegwu stated that Gov. Hope Uzodimma is not only proactive but also rendering a visionary leadership, starting from the creation of the new Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition he has shown he means well for his people.
The empowerment Commissioner said Gov. Hope Uzodimma is achieving his good intentions to protect Imo people from economic hardships, through entrepreneurship and skills acquisition empowerment which the Ministry stands for.
Imo women participating in the Gov. Hope Uzodimma’s free skills acquisition programme expressed their happiness and told Hon. Noble A. Atulegwu to covey their appreciation to the Governor.
