2021: HON. NWAWUBA SENDS NEW YEAR MESSAGE OF HOPE TO HIS MBAIKE CONSTITUENTS, LISTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Fiery Lawmaker and Chair House of Representatives Committee on New Legislative Agenda, Henry Nwawuba has assured his constituents that the year 2021 holds better hope as his Constituency shall remain on the front seat of discussions and decisions aimed at any development, project wise and otherwise.

In his new year message, Hon. Nwawuba who represents the good people of Mbaitoli-Ikeduru in the lower Chambers of the National Assembly promised to leverage on his contacts and good will to attract more projects and employment opportunities to his people despite the economic situation. His message reads thus:

My dear constituents,
It is the end of another intriguing year and I join you all in giving glory to the Almighty God for counting us among the living.

The year 2020 shall remain indelible in our memory as an era of mixed fortunes. While we witnessed a realization of some positive milestones, we also suffered the effects of an economic recession compounded by the deadly Covid–19 pandemic and the security challenges we faced.

In all of these, the resilient spirit of Mbaike and determination to surmount all challenges prevailed and we have remained a United and hopeful people.

In 2020, we achieved the following under my direct intervention:

  1. Supply and installation of 10 transformers in various communities of Mbaike.
  2. Construction of Orodo to Ogwa Road.
  3. Classroom blocks in Ofekata, Amaukwu, and Ubahaeze Orodo.
  4. Procurement and Installation of 500KVA/33 Transformers in the following Communities; Owubinubi Amakohia Ikeduru, Obokwe Mbieri, Okwu Orodo, Amaukwu, AHABA, OFEKATA, Odunmara, Eziome Mbieri, Umuokparafor Umunoha.
  5. Energizing of Umuoziri Inyishi Transformer, Afor Lolo.
  6. Provision of 500KVA/33 Transformer to Umuoziri Inyishi and Umueze Amaimo, Ikeduru LGA.
  7. Construction of Classroom blocks at Community School, Ubaha Orodo.
  8. Construction of Classroom block at Comprehensive Secondary School, Ofekata.
  9. Installation of 500KVA/33 at Comprehensive Secondary School Ofekata.
  10. Construction of Solar powered borehole at Okwu Ikeduru.
  11. Renovation of Okwu Orodo Town Hall.
  12. Energizing of 500KVA/33 Transformer at Umunyali Timber and Allied Industrial Market, Mbieri.
  13. Construction of Classroom block at Comprehensive Secondary School, Amaukwu.
  14. Ongoing construction of MBAIKE Civic center, Nwaorieubi.
  15. Procurement and distribution of Food Palliatives, hand sanitizers, face shield during the COVID 19 shut down.
  16. Procurement and distribution of food and non food items to all the Autonomous Communities in MBAIKE.
  17. Donation of fund for the Energizing of Awo Mbieri Transformer at Nwaorieubi.
  18. Training of Science teachers and distribution of Science kits to 15 selected Secondary Schools in MBAIKE.
  19. Training of 41 MBAIKE Youths in phone and Laptop repairs at Nwaorieubi.
  20. Training and Empowerment of selected MBAIKE Young Ladies in Pastry and Confectionaries.
  21. Training and Empowerment of MBAIKE Women in Soap and detergent making.
  22. Installation of battery cage at Ohiri’s Farm, Odunmara for the training of MBAIKE Youths in Poultry farming.

With Nigeria officially in recession because of dwindling revenues and the ravaging pandemic, we shall prioritize our interventions to target realistic and realizable projects across the country but I want to assure you that no matter what the situation is, Mbaike shall be at the front seat of discussions about Nigeria. I say this with all confidence because I am the Chairman of the House Committee on the new Legislative Agenda.

I wish to appreciate the unshakeable support and guidance I have gotten from you all and I do not take this for granted. I shall continue to strive hard to make sure that no Mbaike person is left behind in our journey to uplift our dear constituency.

Among the projects executed and Hon Henry Nwawuba’s achievements from 2015 till date include:
(1) Solar powered borehole at Nneise, Ugirike, Ikeduru LGA.
(2) Water – Shed/ Erosion control works at Aboh/Uzoagba/Avuvu road, Ikeduru.
(3) Construction of Classroom block at Inyishi Technical College, Ikeduru.
(4) Renovation of Classroom block at Uzoagba Central School, Ikeduru.
(5) Installation of Solar Powered Street Lights at various Locations in Atta 1, 2, Amatta n Avuvu Communities, Ikeduru LGA.
(6) Renovation of Classroom block at Comprehensive Secondary School, Ogbaku, Mbaitoli LGA.
(7) Ongoing Continuation of Construction work on Akabo/Amankuta/Orie Mbieri road, attracted by Rt. Hon. Bethel Amadi.
(8) Construction of Health center in Ugirike, Ikeduru.
(9) Establishment of Youth Farm at Umueze Uzoagba, Ikeduru and Donation of 500 bags of Poultry Feeds, 2000 Fingerlings and Start up Operational fund.
(10) Construction of a Block of open Stalls at Orie Amakohia, Ikeduru.
(11) Procurement and Installation of 500KVA/33 Transformers in the following Communities, Owubinubi Amakohia Ikeduru, Obokwe Mbieri, Okwu Orodo, Amaukwu, AHABA, OFEKATA, Odunmara, Eziome Mbieri, Umuokparafor Umunoha.

(17) Renovation of Ihitte Mbieri Health center.

(19) Renovation of Classroom blocks at Community and Primary school, Amaukwu Orodo, respectively.
(20) Installation of Hand pump at Eziama Obiato/Ukwu Orji.
(21) Construction of oil mill and Cassava processing plant at Ekwereazu Ogwa.
(22) Rehabilitation of Okpuala Ogbaku water borehole.
(23) Renovation of the Exam Hall of Community Secondary School, Mbieri.

(57) Procurement and distribution of over 2,500 bags of Fertilizer.
(58) Provision of free medical treatment in Ogwa, Orodo, Ubomiri, Mbieri, Akabo, Iho, etc.
(59) Training of MBAIKE women as advocates of Anti domestic violence campaigners.
(60) Procurement and distribution of Food Palliatives, hand sanitizers, face shield during the COVID 19 shut down.

(68) Secured CBN/NIRSAL MFB Loan for 15 MBAIKE Entrepreneurs for business Start up.

(70) Installation of of battery cage at Ohiri’s Farm, Odunmara for the training of MBAIKE Youths in Poultry farming.
