Ogbuehi Umuezeawala celebrates maiden anniversary amidst funfare …assures of better days

The Ogbuehi of Umuezeawala Autonomous Community, Ogbuehi Desmond Chimezie Obiakor has celebrated his maiden anniversary in grand style. The event which held in his country home, had dignitaries from all walks of life in attendance.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi said he would ensure Umuezeawala community is developed while expressing readiness to work for the people. He thanked the Oluoha of Ihiala, Ichie Thomas Obidiegwu for attending the event, describing him as a special gift God gave to the people of Ihiala.

Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi demonstrated his love for his subjects when he sued for peace and called on well-meaning members of the community to join hands with him and make Umuezeawala the envy of other communities. He assured of his willingness to sponsor the education of members of the community who couldn’t further their education for lack of fund. He also pledged to assist the talented and skilled members of the community to enable them become self- reliant.

Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi promised to build a security house in the community in no distant time while hoping that his maiden anniversary will bring enduring peace and joy to the people.

The traditional ruler of Ihiala also known as Oluoha of Ihiala, Ichie Thomas Obidiegwu expressed happiness that Umuezeawala has queued on the path of progress and development.

Appealing to Ndi Umuezeawala to support Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi, Oluoha also assured that peace has returned to Ihiala and as such, called on diaspora brothers to think home and help to develop the area.
“There is peace in Ihiala. Our brothers in diaspora should come back home and help us to develop our land”, Oluoha said.

Honourable Benson Nwawulu, former member of Anambra State House of Assembly prayed God to imbue wisdom, long life and prosperity on Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi.
He pledged his support and counsel at all times.

“We thank God for everything and hope that next year will be better than this year. I think Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi will do well. He has started well and some of us will be around to advise him, Nwawulu said.”

Arc. Martin Nwabineli said “Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi is loved by his people” and prayed that he lives long on the throne.
Different groups including Ezi-Umuezeawala Development Union paid homage to Ogbuehi Ugodinaobi with several gift items as a mark of support and allegiance to him.

Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C. Don Adinuba, former Anambra State Governorship hopeful, Ichie Mike Ejezie, DIG Val Ntomchukwu, Ndi Ogbuehi of other communities in Ihaiala were among the dignitaries that graced the occasion.
