ABDUCTORS OF IMSU LECTURER DEMAND N20M RANSOM, SECONDARY SCHOOL MATES PLEAD FOR HIS SAFE RETURN.

Kidnappers of Mr Emmanuel Ogueri Ibekwe lecturer I in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Imo state University, Owerri have eventually called and made a demand of whooping sum of N20m as ransom and condition for his release. Information available to our medium indicated that the abductors fully established contact with Ogueri’s family members and some of his close friends evening of yesterday 16-01-2021 with a caveat that the Police and other law enforcement agents must not be involved at all, in the whole deal.

A friend of the kidnapped Lecturer and his Secondary school mate who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that members of the Old Boys Association of All Saints Secondary School Ogborhill Aba in Abia State where the kidnapped Lecturer was a Senior Prefect many years ago are in shock as to why such a below average man in terms financial strength could be kidnapped and huge amount of money being demanded as ransom.

The Old Boys whilst praying God to intervene in the matter equally pleaded with the abductors not to harm their bosom friend but to ensure his safe return.
Mr Emmanuel Ogueri Ibekwe was kidnapped at a Pharmacy opposite All Seasons Hotel located around the busy Concord Hotel area of Owerri a couple of days ago. He was said to be hanging out with some friends at a drinking joint and later complained of sudden manifestation of ill-health, which prompted him to step out in search of drugs at a nearby Pharmacy. He was later reportedly kidnapped around the drug shop few minutes after leaving his friends by some abductors in military camouflage.
