Nnamdi Ijezie emerges President General Ezenomi-Uzoagba community

Prominent community leader and grassroots mobilizer Comrade Nnamdi Ijezie has emerged the President General of Ezenomi-Uzoagba community in Ikeduru Council Area of Imo.

Ijezie’s emergence was overwhelmingly supported and celebrated by a large number of Ezenomi-Uzoagba community members especially the youths women and key leaders of the community. Mr Nnamdi Ijezie was among the 29 Presidents General presented to the Ikeduru LGA Interim Management Committee Chairman Mr Tony Jude Iwuamadi onTuesday March 9, 2021 for inauguration.

Speaking at the inauguration of the PGs, Iwuamadi charged them to put in their best in ensuring peace, harmony, security and overall development of their various communities. He advised them against rubbishing the good image of the government in the state but to cooperate with the political leaders around them and their Ezes to move their communities to the next level.

Prominent leader in Ikeduru and business mogul, Prince Charles Amadi aka Charlvon described the inauguration of the new PGs as dawn of a new positive era in the area and advised them to justify the confidence reposed in them by their people. Prince Charles Amadi also enjoined the traditional rulers in Ikeduru not to usurp the roles of the new Presidents General or see them as rivals but should rather embrace them as partners in progress for the good of their communities in particular and Ikeduru LGA as a whole.

Speaking to Nigerian Newsguide on a telephone chat shortly after his inauguration, the Ezenomi-Uzoagba new President General, Comrade Nnamdi Ijezie said the latest position would certainly bring out the best in him. He noted that his leadership style has a lot to do with positive action for rural development.
Ijezie promised to work with the traditional ruler of his community, and all men, women and youths irrespective of class or status. He showered praises on the youths of his community for always believing in him and vowed never to let them down.

Nigerian Newsguide gathered that Ijezie was actually contesting for the chairmanship of his village before a higher responsibility such as the PGship of the entire community came beckoning on him.
