Ikeduru PDP holds sensitization meeting, gives APC red card

Nwawuba, Unachukwu, Opara, Ihentuge, Ukah urge members to be steadfast

Ahead preparation for the 2023 election, and the need to mobilize members for the onerous task, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ikeduru Council Area of Imo State last week organized a sensitization meeting wherein members from a zone in the area were given specific instructions and pieces of advice on how best to work for the good of the party.

The meeting which was held at the country home of Nze Victor Duru, popularly known as Soludo had party LGA leaders and members from Atta ward I, Atta ward II, Ngugo-Ikembara ward and Inyishi-Umudim ward in attendance.
Speaking at the strategic meeting, a member of the House of Representatives for MBAIKE Federal Constituency, Hon. Henry Ndochukwu Nwawuba said PDP was the face of good governance and democracy needed to fix back Nigeria so that the masses could be given hope and protection. Nwawuba told the party faithful that all the corrupt and irresponsible politicians were in APC, and that was the reason Nigeria is bleeding to death. He opined that APC must be given a red card and shown the exit door in 2023 because of its anti-people programs and policies.

The vibrant Lawmaker said his representation of his people since 2015 had been eventful and action-packed, adding that verifiable dividends of democracy have continued to be offloaded in various MBAIKE communities and no longer at ward levels especially transformers, markets, borehole projects, etc.

Nwawuba therefore assured the PDP members that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha was actually coming to heal the wounds of Ndimo in 2023 and urged all to remain steadfast.
Also speaking, a former Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning in Imo State, Sir Bon Unachukwu charged members of the PDP to show more commitment this time, noting that every indication shows that PDP would clinch power in 2023 at all levels.

According to Sir Unachukwu, the seven months reign of PDP under Ihedioha in Imo saw massive road and infrastructural transformation until evil political undertakers scuttled that positive movement. He accordingly therefore enjoined all to work hard and wait on the Lord for PDP’s return come 2023.

In their seperate remarks, the Chairman of PDP in Ikeduru, Mr Geoffrey Ihentuge, former Ikeduru Council Boss, Dr Anselm Opara, Barr. Ken Uzoechi and PDP top Leader in Atta ward II, Engr Ethelbert Ukah advised members not to be dampened in the spirit with the evils of the time under the APC led administration but should have hope that everything gonna be alright if they work hard to secure victory for the PDP in 2023.

The sensitization meeting was attended by top leaders of the party, who were thrilled by Ndiuhu Ogada cultural dance group, music interlude and larvishing hospitality by the Host, Nze Victor Duru.

Other leaders present at the meeting were, Hon. Victor Asams, Chief Vitalis Ogueri, Chief Acho Ezirim, Comrade Chidi Emeagi, Prince Nnamdi Ugwoezuonu among many others.
