Igbo Bishops, Monarchs should reconcile Nnamdi Kanu, ESN and S’East Govs – Group
…Says Uzodimma, most hated of all SE Govs.
Top Religious Leaders and influential Monarchs of Southeast extraction have been counselled to end their loud silence and indifference concerning the feud and impasse between governors in the region and Leader of IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as well as the Eastern Security Network ESN.
A group, New Nigeria Development Ambassadors, NNDA says the current grandstanding between these forces has the potentiality of burning the Southeast into ashes considering the tensed security situations across the country.
It however condemned in strongest terms the invasion of southeast bushes in search of ESN operatives and the consequential implication which precipitated the burning of Imo State Governor’s house in Omuma, and pleaded with ESN to mellow down.
Secretary of the group Tony Iwuagwu in a statement issued weekend in Owerri said the way and manner Southeast Leaders and Ohanaeze are operating, trying to pamper words and delay action in order to appease a section of the country(Fulani) remained the singular annoyance of ESN and Nnamdi Kanu to the extent that they have vowed to decisively deal with the governors of the region in particular.
The New Nigeria Development Ambassadors said the unimaginably vulnerable Nigeria needs no pretenses from critical actors but forceful action aimed at fighting common enemies whose only interest is to conquer, annex and rule forever every region and land in Nigeria.
“Southeast Bishops like Archbishops Emmanuel Chukwuma, AJV Obinna, David Onuoha, Bishops Lucious Ugorji, Mike Okonkwo, Daddy Hezekiah, Pastors Lazarus Mouka, Maxwell Korie and many others must come out of their comfort zones to save our current precarious and hopeless situation.
If this place burns, God must ask them questions, if Gov. Hope Uzodimma who appears to be the most hated of all his colleagues because of his pro-caliphate posture is harmed going by the latest threat by IPOB, it will not pay any body.
Again if our governors continue to kill our men of valour who are selflessly guiding our territories, then it will not augur well with all of us.
Our influential Monarchs like Igwe Achebe, Eze Ilomuanya, Eze Ikonne, Igwe Orizu, Igwe Lawrence Agubuzu etc must rise up now and broker truce between ESN and Southeast governors for us to have peace and possibly tranquility. These leaders we have called out, must act fast because delay is dangerous”.
The group however frowned at the continued invitation of heads of official security formations in the country during southeast regional strategic security meetings, insisting that such officers mainly northerners are only spying us, waiting to strike because they have every information about our security moves at their disposal.
In the North, the likes of Sheik Gumi, Isa Pantami, bandits and many others that have direct links with terrorists are still being pampered by their leaders but right here in the East, our governors want our warlords killed to impress Abuja. This thought must suffocated if we must get it right in a bleeding nation like ours.
The sing song now is for regions to protect themselves because the centre can no longer hold and things have fallen apart, apologies to Late Chinua Achebe”
