Says ex-Gov sponsoring fake news via his new media urchins to intimidate him
Member for Owerri West in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi (Dele) has reiterated his determination to move a motion aimed at summoning former Governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, insisting that Okorocha deserves to be probed for his atrocities, abuse of office and fiscal irresponsibility.
Onyemaechi who is the APC caucus leader in the State Assembly told Nigerian Newsguide weekend that he was irrevocably committed to bringing Okorocha on the floor of the House for him to answer so many questions not yet answered pertaining his eight year tenure of woes in Imo state. The Lawmaker revealed that since he indicated interest in summoning of the ex governor to the House via a ...
Anyanwu pleads with aggrieved members to return home for party business
The long political rift between former Imo State Governor Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and ex-Imo East Senator, Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has finally been laid to rest.
A statement by Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s media assistant Ikenna Onuoha weekend indicated that a truce was brokered for the two top political leaders in Owerri zone, whose political fights may have denied the senatorial district some goodies.
The truce was said to be brokered by the PDP National Reconciliatory Committee led by a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Austin Okpara.
Reacting to the development, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu regretted that members of the opposition had leveraged on the misunderstanding in the PD...

Permit me to start this piece with a bible passage so popular among both adherents of Judaism and Christianity. 1 Samuel 10:10-13 reads thus; “When Saul and his servant arrived Gibeah, a procession of prophets met him; the spirit of God came upon him in power, and he joined in their prophesying. When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other, what is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul among the prophets? A man who lived there answered, “And who is their father? And it became a saying “Is Saul among the prophets? After Saul stopped prophesying, he went to the high place”.
Saul of course, history has it, was the first king of Israel. After such a long time ranging from the Torah (Patriarchal period...
The noise and angry reactions trailing the eventual defection of Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi to the ruling All Progressives Congress-APC are enormous such that the discussion has refused to abate over one week after the deed was done.
Most PDP leaders, members, supporters and fans call Umahi all sorts of unprintable names, casting aspersions and heaping effervescent curses on the man. Umahi's sin is not that he is an under-performer in governance or that he possibly stole and squandered the common patrimony of Ebonyi people. His only sin was that he took “a selfish decision” common among Nigerian politicians.
What was that “ill-advised decision”? he jumped the ship and ditched a political party that many argued made him all he is politically today. Granted, politics is such ...
Apparently shocked by a press statement credited to the newly inaugurated Speaker Imo State House of Assembly Paul Emeziem to the effect that he won his 2019 election with God's help and personal efforts, some youths in Okigwe zone have come down very hard on Emeziem, describing him as ingrate and pathological liar.
The youths who spoke to Nigerian Newsguide on the sideline of some rallies at the instance of Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume ahead the Saturday December 5, rescheduled Okigwe Senate Re-Run, insisted that the light skin new Imo Speaker remained Ararume's ally and 'boy' till tomorrow. The youths maintained that Hon. Paul Emeziem who represents Onuimo State Constituency was completely broke before 2019 election and could not purchase nomination form either in APC or PDP until Sen. Araru...
The on-going battle of wits between Gov. Hope Uzodimma and members of the Imo State House of Assembly may lead to the sad ouster of the Governor if nothing urgent was done – a cleric has revealed. Speaking to Nigerian Newsguide weekend, General Overseer, City Power of God Church Aba, Rev Linus Nwagelezi said Imo State Governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma was known to be a political master –strategist and smooth operator for several years to the extent that he was in the Senate for eight years but has suddenly become a learner since he emerged governor early this year.Rev. Nwagelezi noted that Uzodimma no matter what happened was pretty wrong to have edged out former Gov. Rochas Okorocha, Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume, Mr Uche Nwosu and many other political heavy weights from APC. He remarked that having tu...

Lest we forget, Uzodimma is making a failed State out of the Imo State that he inherited intact from Governor Emeka Ihedioha!
There's this parable of the loose cow, in which after the stubborn cow had defied all human hurdles, it still managed to escape from the stable. Africans say, "After the war, women and effeminate men begin the analytical narrative of the war. Hence, when the search team failed to recover the ebullient cow, some voices began hallucinating, saying if they were around at the time the cow escaped, it wouldn't have escaped!
Then, one day again, another cow in the community got loose and was at the verge of escaping. Apparently recalling the excuses tendered by those who boasted that had they been around the other cow wouldn't have ...
